Lovey's Birthday

First I want to wish a (late) Happy Birthday to my mom!  This past weekend we drove up Friday to surprise Lovey for a birthday supper with the family.  Then on Saturday we hung out and then went to a wedding reception/celebration for our friends Michelle and Nico.  They got married a few months ago in the Bahamas and so they had a party for those of us who weren't at the actual ceremony.  Unfortunately, I have no pictures from the later.

Here is what I do have!

AR running to greet Lovey and Grand Daddy... I won't tell you that she bypassed Lovey for Grand Daddy.

Here's a typical day around our house:

Where Has September Gone?!

Seriously, this month has absolutely flown by!  When uploading pictures from my camera, I realized that it's been a few weeks since I've shared anything really new.  Last week, AR and I were both sick making it a very looong week for us.  We are both on the mend now and getting things back to normal.

A couple weeks ago we started back to Mom 2 Mom which is a Bible study for moms at my church.  I love the fellowship with other christian moms and I love that AR gets to have play time for 2 hours with other kids her age.  She loves it too!  We have also started going to Bouncing Babies at a local library which she really likes too!

I will share some of our other recent activities through pictures!

AR has discovered the joy of crayons!  She loves to color and I think she's finally come to the conclusion that they don't really taste that great.
At her "big girl" table!  Sad to say I've already started packing up her sweet summer clothes. :(
And in case you've been missing "the face"!
A couple weeks ago, Aunt Mollie, Uncle Chad, Grayson and Caroline stopped by Mimi and Papa's on their way home from the beach.  We were able to meet up with them for the evening, which is always a good time!
Ready to head to Mimi's house!  (She's always ready to head there actually)
Why my child is topless, I'm not sure... Love watching these two girls together especially as they get older.

Pretty sure we have almost the same picture from around Christmas time... for some reason Caroline doesn't get in on piano time with Mimi.
Have to love William's photography skill.  Trying to take a picture of most of the family would be much nicer w/out his foot in the middle!!  :)
AR loves her Daddy Mac!
The girls playing with Papa
As you may know from my previous post, our 4 year anniversary was just last week.  A couple from our Sunday School class offered to keep everybody's children so that we could go out on our anniversaries!  It was so nice of them and I know AR thoroughly enjoyed playing with their children.  We went to Outback and stuffed ourselves.  I really don't know the last time I had been there, but it was good!
Date Night!

AR loves to play with Daddy's phone!
Speaking of Daddy's phone, most of you know that on an iphone you can turn the camera on so that you can see yourself.  Well, William did that one evening and filmed AR interacting with herself.  Please enjoy!

This girl got her some new boots and she loves them!  Best $3 I've spent on her so far, I do believe!

Oh by the way, my little girl is 17 months today!  Almost  1 1/2 years old...wow!  While I find this age to be a bit stressful and her temper is starting to reveal itself, we love her more than we could have ever imagined!  She keeps us busy and very entertained!

Wedding

This past weekend my good friend, Elizabeth, got married.  She married Rob who we have enjoyed getting to know and look forward to watching them grow as a married couple!

Many of you know that Heather and I used to make and decorate cakes together and I still do one every once in a while.  Well, Elizabeth asked me to do the cake... the wedding cake!  I said that I would and Heather said she'd help me.  I'll share the rest in pictures:
Just some of the ingredients for the cakes.
The four cakes that I made... Heather had two strawberry cakes.
The top layer, done and ready to go on.
What the dots looked like before being pressed down.
Some of our mess.
After the cake was stacked I had to put the finishing touches on it.
Finished and ready to go outside.
There she is!  All in one piece!!
Over all, I'm very pleased with it to be our first wedding cake.  I need to give a HUGE thanks to Annette who helped me out greatly and taught me a lot!  Without her I doubt this could have happened.
Cake cutting time!
I really did enjoy making the wedding cake and especially the time I got to spend with Heather as we don't see each other as much anymore.  I really learned a lot from this cake and hope to get back into doing cake more now.  Unfortunately, it rained right after the wedding party arrived and therefore the cake cutting was postponed a while.  A good many people had left by this time and there was a ton of cake left, but they were able to take it to church and school so I'm sure it all got eaten!  Thanks for asking us to do the cake Elizabeth!

You could find AR out on the dance floor most of the time.  Sometimes she was dancing and sometimes she was just staring at others who were dancing!  I have to ask... do you see some red in her hair, because every now and then we see it and these pictures seem to show it well.

AR in her pretty white dress... don't worry Mimi, it looks almost good as new again!
She met a friend who kept dancing with her and AR loved it!
The Mr. and Mrs.
Dancing with Daddy
Out in the midst of it all!

I never knew Benjamin had it in him!!  Ruth Anne and Heather are behind him.
Daddy and AR after dipping her head under the water coming off the tent.
AR standing under dripping water letting her head get soaked.
Not happy about something, but she was a good sport for the most part.
Dancing with her friend again
Some other random pictures for you:
So I caught AR climbing onto her little table last week.  Notice Daddy's shoe in her room... her fascination with shoes continues to grow.  If you sit on the couch and knock your shoes off, you can best believe she'll be putting them back on you shortly!

"Uh oh, she caught me!"
Playing outside:

Trying to throw the ball to Tucker.

Tucker has a new haircut!
Bath/Shower time:
This is what bathing in a Rubbermaid tub looks like!

Sunday morning bath after a tiring night of dancing!  She was imitating Daddy splashing with her foot/leg.

And just so you don't think we are spoiling her:
She earns her keep around here!
