Busy August!

Ahh... August is more than half over and this makes me a bit sad.  Things are just going too fast!  Please enjoy a picture update of what we've been up to!

Some early morning cartoons:
Can you all just look at how big my baby boy looks!
We started AR's K3... never really know if it's K3 or 3K... think I did it wrong in the picture, but that's just one of the many signs why I didn't major in early childhood!  Week 1 is done and AR is loving it and asking for it everyday though we only do it 3 times a week.  We will mostly be focusing on numbers, the alphabet, a weekly bible story and verse, and the days of the week for now at least!

We made a second trip to the downtown water fountains.  W discovered that there were ducks in the river behind us so I spend 45 minutes chasing him and try to focus his attention on the fountains and/or food, though it didn't work.  This boy LOVES animals!
Every time I brought him back, he turned around, pointed, said "dat" (which is his favorite word) and ran towards the ducks!

AR really got into getting wet!

A rare moment in our house... AR napping!  I love that so much is in this pic - first a bathed baby, another baby all covered up and sleeping, and her open bible behind her.  I'm thinking we need some educating on leaving a baby in a bathtub unattended and putting a baby who can't hold their head up on their belly.

W's new favorite toy:

AR reading to me and W:
W is obsessed with books now... he really paid them no attention before about 12 months of age.
He has a few favorites and even within those books he usually has a favorite page... on this one it's the one with the farm animals.
This past Saturday we made a trip to the Children's Museum and got to take Mimi and Papa with us this year!  The kids had a blast!

The grocery store was BY FAR AR's most favorite part of the whole entire trip.  I am not exaggerating when I say that after every other stop she asked if we could go back here.  So at the end, she and Mimi took one last spin at the grocery store!

Love William's face here - see that same expression on AR a good bit!

Playing doctor!

W exiting the stomach!

Going through the bank drive-thru with Papa!

Daddy in his element

Well, there's our August so far.  Next week I'll hopefully have somebody's 15 month update for you!

The End of Our July

Well, July has ended and I maybe did one post last month... eh.  Here is the rest of the month except a few things I need to get off daddy's phone.

Give the kids a cardboard box, crayons, and a daddy and they are good to go!

Love my handsome fella!

Taking the teddy bear for a ride

Love this sweet gal

W has really gotten into books lately and wants you to read to him nonstop!

Cause baby, I'm a thug... or a princess... or a mama... and the list goes on!

She will not stop until she has every single chair, stool, highchair, etc lined up so that she can play "big church"

Letting W try out the chalk paint... lasted maybe 5 minutes until he started drizzling it all over himself and then decided to walk off.

I constantly laugh at this child and the things he does... as they say "monkey see, monkey do".  Whatever he sees his sis doing, you best believe he'll be doing it soon.  Not to worry though, this child loves all things cars, animals, outdoors, and so on!

Loves this dog!

I stepped away to grab something to clean out the water table only to turn around and find him in a puddle... guess I was too slow.  Funny thing is that if AR so much as gets a drip of mud on her, she has to wash it off!

Love that these two are starting to really play together!
Last weekend we were able to go to the zoo but only got a few pics.
W was super tired and pretty much looked like this the entire time!

This past week, my good friend and her son came over to stay a couple nights with us while daddy was on a business trip.  We loved having them here and I hope that our kids become good friends as they grow up!
BFFs in the making!

Can't even begin to estimate how many kisses AR gave this boy!

Thanks for coming and staying with us!!  I especially enjoyed all the girl talk with my bff... hard to do now with both of us having kids!
