Our Busy Weekend!

This past weekend we headed to my hometown to visit Lovey and Grand Daddy along with many other relatives!  AR and I left on Thursday so that we could fit everything in!

On Friday we stopped by Lovey's work to see her, then visited with AR's great great aunt JJ, went to eat with JJ and Grand Daddy, then visited with her great grandmother Nana, and then went to eat again for supper once her daddy got there!  After supper, we visited with her other great grandmother, Nannie!  Whew... I'm tired just writing that!  We are very, very blessed to have so many who want to see us (aka - AR) when we visit!
Snoozing' on JJ's shoulder... this seems to be the same picture I take of them together each time!
Visiting with Nana!

Enjoying some time with Nannie

On Saturday, my mom and I hit up a consignment sale and found a few goodies, mostly sleepers to last her until Spring.  That afternoon the newlyweds, Heather and Benjamin, were able to come over and go out on the lake with us.  It was so great seeing them and catching up!  Then Grand Daddy grilled us some steaks and we enjoyed another great meal!
AR in her first life jacket... she wasn't thrilled about it.

The Halls!

Heather's (Benjamin's) hat flew into the lake and he had to "fish" it out.
AR's first time really being immersed into water
We put the life jacket back on and let her float around.  I think she'll enjoy it so much more next year!
Sunday, we went to church and stopped by Heather and Benjamin's house on the way home.  They live in a house that's over 100 years old and Benjamin grew up there.  It was really neat and they have done a great job with it so far!  I hate I forgot to take some pictures!

A few other pics:
She LOVES this bouncy seat and I think it's b/c the toys are so much closer to her
And b/c she can use all four limbs on it!!
This pic just cracked me up b/c William looks like such an old man!  But we love him!

We Like Big Babies & We Cannot Lie...

But she has no brothers who can't deny!  You know you were singing it!

Why might I have chosen this as my title you ask?  Because we have one "healthy" little girl on our hands, that's why!

Today was AR's 4 month check up and things went really well.  Having a healthy child is something I thank the Lord for and do not take for granted.

Below is AR's pic from Aug. 20, the day she was exactly 4 months old followed by her stats.  You can go to the "Watch Me Grow" tab on the right hand side of the screen to see her grow over the past 4 months.

Stats at 4 Months:
Weight:  15lb 9oz (84%)
Height:  26.25in (101% off the charts!)
Head:  43.2 cm (93%)

What she's up to these days:
-grabbing things infront of her
-hands are in the mouth... all the time... and sometimes both at once
-produces more saliva than I knew was possible
-eats 4-5 times a day, when in a bottle takes about 7 oz.
-sleeps anywhere from 10-12 hrs a night (we lucked out on this)
-rolled over just a time or two since last time, I don't think she's figured out she can do it on purpose yet
-laughed a good laugh just once, at her daddy sneezing (which scares our niece and nephew)
-talks to us (or herself) nonstop and is one of the most precious sounds I've ever heard

Check out her 4 month video here as she tells you what her past 4 months were like.

A Little Bit of Randomness

I thought I would share just a few other things with you while I had them on the mind... and some new videos.  I'm trying to link to YouTube to see if the clarity is better.

I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I have been working on a few baby gifts and I am finally able to post one of the gifts.  A friend from church is having a baby boy next month and this is the burp cloth and onsie that I did for him.

I have also been meaning to share a funny story with you... at least we find it rather funny.  We have been watching the show Prison Break on netflix (highly recommend it!) and have gotten really into it.  We have finished the first two seasons and we almost always watch two episodes at night.  Well, on the show they are always on the run and constantly hiding from others.  So I had a dream that I was being chased and about to be attacked with a broom.  I felt a hand on me and automatically went to bite the person... only to wake up to find William's arm in my mouth.  Don't worry, I hadn't bit down yet, but I was headed there!  He was trying to wake me b/c I was breathing hard from my dream and I thought it was part of the dream!  I apologized to him that following morning!

Now for the videos... nothing too exciting, but cute!

AR talking to herself

AR grabbing at her toys (the song in the background would be more appropriate for when she starts "creepin'"!

Bouncing away!

I put the rattle in her hand and she kept looking at it like "What is this thing attached to me?!".

Talking to mama this morning!

Where Has The Time Gone?!

I'm pretty sure that we just brought home a 7lb baby last week... didn't we?!  Apparently, it has been 4 months already!!!  I can't believe how time has flown, though every parent warned me it would.  The actual birth and hospital visit and even being pregnant does seem like a long time ago but it still doesn't feel like AR should be 4 months old now!  We go to the doc this week so I will update her stats afterwards.
She knows she's cute!
I was putting up some clothes that are too small for AR and came across these NB bloomers.  I can't believe she used to fit in those!!  The picture just doesn't do justice to how small they actually look!
Thursday evening while on our walk/run, I noticed AR had her thumb in her mouth... she'd finally found it!  I quickly exchanged it for the paci but I still found her like this the next few mornings.

In John Deere... Pink?

As many of you know, my sister has married a farmer and moved out to the farm.  She had to make sure that AR felt welcome when she visists and therefore gave her the outfit below at one of our showers!  So, Aunt Katie and Uncle Clint, here she comes and she told me she wants to drive the biggest tractor you got!!
This next picture is one I took just about 10 minutes ago of her napping... precious don't you think?!  Loving those cheeks!

This past weekend I finished up a few more sewing projects and this time they were for AR and not gifts!  This means I can show them to you!  I know Halloween and Thanksgiving aren't quite here yet, but while I had all my sewing stuff out I wanted to knock those projects out.  I have some fun ideas for Christmas ones too and they'd be much more fun if maybe I was to do them with somebody... maybe somebody named Mollie?!  A trip to GA in the near future could be likely!

Some new videos

Like I mentioned last blog, this week we don't have a ton going on which I'm thankful for.  AR and I have done a little grocery shopping, laundry (see below), ate lunch with Aunt Katie, and just hanging out at the (air conditioned) house.  I am also still working on some sewing projects but once again cannot reveal b/c they are gifts that have yet to be given!

My laundry helper!

So I got out AR's newest toy and she seems to enjoy it.  Her legs need to grow another inch or two and she needs to be reaching a little better and she'll really love it.  I waited to get it out b/c I wasn't sure where we'd put it as all her other "sit in items" are still out.  So you ask where I decided on?  The middle of the living room of course... if you know how much excess space we have in this house you understand! :)
I did decide it was time to clean off the video camera and post some of the better ones on the blog.  I take a lot of videos apparently... mostly attempting to get her to smile which she refuses to do as soon as that camera is in front of her face!  So I tried to narrow it down to a few of the better ones for you!

Still Hangin' Around

Last week I was very slack with my blogging and I will try to do better this week although we really don't have too much going on (thank goodness).

Two weekends ago, we had our annual "Cousin's Day" with my dad's side of the family up in the mountains.  It was good to see all who were able to come and we missed those who couldn't be there.  It was AR's first time meeting some of her extended family and she was a real trooper during the whole trip!
We had a picnic outside and AR slept during most of it.

Katie and Clint rode up with us and we had fun listening to 90's country music on William's iphone!  AR is visiting with our cousin, Caroline, in this picture.
