7 Months and a Bit of Christmas!

Due to the fact that I have TONS of Christmas picture, I'm going to start off with W's 7 month update and then share some of our pre-Christmas activities (the ones I meant to do before Christmas!).

7 Months (and 5 days... Christmas pushed us a little late!)
What W's up to at 7 Months:
-has gone from supported sitter to sitting completely on his own this month
-nursing at 7am, 11am, 3pm, and 7pm - give or take a few mintues
-first three meals also include solids
-still napping 3 times a day
-starting to "talk" and says "da-da-da-da" mostly, of course (he'd better not forget who feeds him AND who birthed him - naturally!  JK, I know I'm his favorite!)
-has his first tooth, but this actually happened after since turning 7 months
-can suck from sippy cup but only when it's held to his mouth
-tried puffs but can't get them to his mouth by himself
-reaches out to be held
-pretty much wearing 9m now... can still fit in some 6-9m

Mid sentence

Daddy gets credit for catching this awesome picture of W eating a puff!  Hopefully this isn't any indication of what his teeth will come in looking like!!

Now for some activities leading up to Christmas!  We attempted the Advent Calendar this year, but I wasn't the best about having it ready and AR didn't really get that into it.  We'll try again next yet but I'm not going to stress out about it.  Our elf came and went... another thing that she didn't get all into either but I think next year will be different when she's three.  Other activities included:  visiting Santa, going to see Christmas lights, going to CFA to see the Santa cow, crafts, cookies, and so on.

Both kids did really well when visiting with Santa.  AR told him she wanted a train book (which she did get!) and that W wanted a book too.  Our only mishap was when W came close to ruining Christmas for everybody when he grabbed Santa's beard... we got him away quickly though!

Each year, Santa sends a book to the kids by way of the elf.  This years book was "Mortimer's Christmas Manger" and it's a cute book about a mouse discovering who is in the nativity he keeps trying to live in and His importance.

This picture (and the next) was about as crazy as our elf got this year... I figured we can do more when AR is older.

Daddy was a real trooper and did lots of crafts and activities with us.  He so kindly helped paint AR's handprint ornaments and did a fantastic job!

Unfortunately, I had to miss this as my Bible Study was going out to eat this same evening... but thankfully, William thought to capture it on "film" for me!

Aunt Katie and Michelle were able to come decorate the cookies with us this year and we had lots of fun!

And a few pics that don't have much to do with Christmas:
On the left is what happens when you fight your nap and the right is what happens when you don't!

She may give me a run for my money, but she sure is cute!

Well, that was the first of at least three Christmas posts that I need to do!  Hopefully the other two will be done by the end of January considering I plan to have our 2014 family yearbook done by then too!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and truly felt the presence of Christ during that time!

Merry Christmas! (And the rest of the photo shoot!)

You may have received our Christmas card if you are reading this and if so, we are so glad you took a moment to stop by!  Usually I spend a lot of time on the card making sure I fit a couple paragraphs about our past year in it.  This year, the card that I chose to use didn't have space for that and honestly I figured if you got this card you already know most of what is going on this year.

Big moments from 2013 include:
-AR turned 2 in April!
-W was born in May (all natural and not by choice I might add...again... he will never live this down)
-Trammell family beach trip to Pawley's in September
-new niece born to the Hayes in September
-William and I both entered the last year in our twenties... we may not be so joyful about our birthdays next year!  haha
-my sister, Katie, got a job!  (read previous post)
-speaking of jobs... both of my parents are retired as of this year and we love that we get to see them more often!
-this past year we also lost my Nannie, but we can rejoice knowing that she knew Jesus as her Savior and she's spending her first Christmas in Heaven this year and I can't begin to fathom how wonderful it is!

The Lord has been so good to us and we give Him all the glory!

To God be the glory forever and ever! Amen. ~Galatians 1:5

Merry Christmas from Mr. & Mrs. Claus and their reindeer and elf!

Now for the real pictures:

Somebody to the right sure is funny!

All the grandbabies with their Mimi and Papa!
The boys!
William took some of the cutest pictures of W... with spit-up running all down his face!  Oh well, this is a daily occurrence at our house, might as well document it!

A big thank you to my SIL, Mollie, for taking pictures of my family!
