She's 2!!

In all seriousness, I feel like it really was just a few months ago that we brought home this tiny little newborn girl and now here we are with a 2 year old who is the size of a 3 yr old and a month away of bringing home another newborn.  Though I'm afraid this little boy won't be quite as small as AR was!

AR got to celebrate for a second time at Lovey and Grand Daddy's house this past weekend and had a blast!  After the pictures from her party I will post an update on what all our 2 yr old is up to and of course her newest stats!

We actually don't watch Sesame Street that much but AR has known who Elmo was for a long time now and can spot that red monster anywhere we go.  So since that was one of the few things I knew she was interested in I decided to go with the Elmo theme for her party.  I found a cake I liked on Pinterest that was pink, orange, and red and went with those colors.

She successfully blew her candle out this time!

Cake and a Cherry Lemon Sundrop Slushie... does it get any better?!
So glad Heather and Benjamin were able to make it again this year!!  Also, super excited to be having babies together this year!

This is the difference in 20 wks and a 2nd pregnancy vs. a 1st!  Not to mention the fact that I haven't been sick and have been eating like a horse!  :)

Bath time just got a bit better!

Playing with some new toys!

AR LOVED this bowling set!  She'd get so excited that she'd shake her fists saying "Do it again, do it again!"  It was super cute!
Swinging with Aunt Heather

This girl loves her Aunt Katie!
AR at 2 years:
-37.8 inches tall (101%)
-33lb (97%)
-favorite foods:  cheese and applesauce (which I think she believes is ice cream or something)... also loves fruits of all kinds
-favorite books:  loves any of her Bibles and Brown Bear, Brown Bear
-favorite toys:  baby dolls and accessories; shopping cart; her new tricycle; Legos; anything to do with being outside
-she's all girl and loves to try on clothes but sometimes fights me on the bows or ponytails unless, of course, it is her idea!
-we cannot get over her vocabulary growth in just this past month alone... she's constantly saying a word that I didn't know she even knew; for instance, the other day in the car she just starts saying "I genius" after her daddy had asked her the day before if she was a genius!  She is up to 4 word sentences and sometimes 5 words!
-still wearing diapers and will continue to do so until a few months after baby brother comes
-loves her paci way too much... we are trying to limit it to bed and car but I fear with the baby that might be tough
-loves to sing and her favorite songs are the ABC's; Jesus Loves Me; Wagon Wheel (the line "rock me mama" in particular)
-starting to count a little bit (says 1,2, 5,6,7 right now) and starting to show some interest in colors (oddly enough orange and purple do seem to be her favorite right now!)
-has a great imagination and is often going "bye, bye" to either Mimi's house or to buy applesauce!  She does "go to" other's houses too, especially after having been there!  This morning she was "going to" Buddy's house (my sister's dog).
-she is a bit hardheaded too and will often test us when we tell her not to do something... this is something I have little patience for and have to pray about.

We love this little girl so much and can't imagine life without her and can barely remember it before her!  I have gotten the video camera back out and hope to have some videos to share soon!

Beach Trip

We were fortunate to be able to go to the beach again this Spring and this year we took Mimi and Papa with us.  We all had a great time and AR really loved the beach much more than last year.
She loved running on the sand!

All ready to go to the beach, though this day was pretty chilly.
On our 2nd full day, some good friends on mine from Clemson who have recently moved near the beach we were at were able to come spend much of the day with us!  We enjoyed their company so much and wish they were closer to us!  I found the idea above on Pinterest and had William recreate it and the kids loved it!

Going to see the sand shark!
The only catch of the weekend... and not by Papa or William!  :)
Soaking in their homemade pool!

Only a daddy comes up with the idea to bury his child in the sand!!

Some photos from our mini photo shoot:

Almost 34 weeks in this picture

The day we left, Papa went to get Grayson and Caroline from their other grandparents to help get them back home.  AR enjoyed her short visit with them and has mentioned them just about every day since then.  Unfortunately, no pics with Caroline.
This girl will not keep and bow or ponytail in her hair and it drives me insane to see the hair in her eyes!  She doesn't seem to mind it though!

A Birthday Celebration!

I can hardly believe that my little girl will be two in just eleven days!!  Sometimes I feel like we just brought her home from the hospital and to think we are about to do that all over again with this little boy!

We went to Mimi and Papa's house for the day on Sunday and celebrated the girls 2nd birthday while we were all together!
After church on Sunday

The birthday cake
Patiently waiting for their cake to arrive... or wondering why in the world everybody is staring at them!
Caroline knew just how to blow the candles out!
AR needed a little assistance from Papa
After two Christmases and one birthday, this child has opening presents down to an art... just don't stand too close or you may get hit in the face!
Anxious to try on her new outfit
Thanks Aunt Mollie and family for all our new bows!!

Showing Grandmama her new dolls
Every girl needs a Clemson cheerleading outfit!!
We gave AR a tricycle which she has been loving!

Finally time to actually eat the cake!
After all the birthday celebrating, we had the annual Daddy Mac Easter egg hunt!

Papa helping AR calculate her earnings!

We had a great time seeing everybody!  The next time we are all together at Mimi and Papa's, we will might have a new addition with us!  Hard to believe!!

Easter and a Little More

This past weekend we went to Lovey and Grand Daddy's house for Easter weekend.  We had a great time and AR is still having a blast as she is staying with them until Wednesday.  I love that she loves both sets of grandparents so much and wants to be with them.  I will just have a little unspoiling to do once she returns, but that's what grandparents are for, right?!

I will share pics from Easter weekend and then the rest are mostly from before Easter.  AR wouldn't let me take any pictures of just her in her Easter dress so I'm hoping we can get some good ones next weekend.  You will want to hangout until the end though for a special picture!

Ready to hunt eggs with Grand Daddy!
Found one!!
Grand Daddy teaching AR how to properly eat the eggs you find!
Time to dye some eggs!
To really focus, one must have their tongue out.
I'm sure she was saying, "Look Lobey"  ("Lovey" often sounds very much like "Abby")
Checking out her Easter basket Sunday morning:

Reading with Cousin Shane after Easter lunch

Katie, Clint, and Grand Daddy doing some fishing.  I wish I'd had my bigger lens on me for this pic!
Watching the fishermen and women!
This is what I got when I asked AR to look at me and smile... still cute!
Other Pictures:

I thought I'd be nice and let AR dip her pretzels in peanut butter... lets just say she ate the pb before the pretzels and this was the end result.

I love seeing what all this little girl comes up with.  She will have every purse/bag she can find with her and likes to hang them on chairs.
Playing in her favorite "jammies"!

 Belly update:
32 Weeks
And here is our little guy!  We had an ultrasound done b/c he was measuring big at previous appointments.  He measured 6 days ahead, but not so big as to be worried about it.  He kept his face up against the placenta and therefore we couldn't get a great shot, but I'm still impressed with what we saw.  We never got to see this with AR so it was neat to get a little glimpse of what he is going to look like.  I'm so excited to meet and love on this little boy!
