Christmas 2010

Over Christmas we got to visit with both of our families which is always great.  Next Christmas will be very different with Abby Ruth here as well as all of her cousins (1st, 2nd, so on ) and friends on the way!  We can't wait.  I didn't get too many pics but a few videos over the break.  I'm going to have to steal pics from others that were with us!

First we went to the Trammells and spent lots of time seeing the whole family and family friends.

Above:  Mollie and I are due one week apart and we are both having girls!  This picture makes me look way ahead of her when I'm actually the week behind.  The angle and Mollie's black shirt don't help!!  Below you can see better!
Above:  There are two other families that the Trammell's are very good friends with and they each have a grandchild on the way too.  The four of us are due all within a three week time period!  I can't wait to see how it actually turns out!

Here are a fun video for your enjoyment:

After leaving the Trammell's we headed to FM to be with my family.  I don't have any pics at all from home :(.  We had a good time there too but hated that our Caldwell Christmas was canceled due to the snow.  I was looking forward to it!

One of my gifts that I recieved for Christmas was the book by the Duggars (19 and Counting family) and so far I'm loving it!  I can't wait to share some of it with you... I know you think I may be strange for wanting to read it but I have a ton of respect for that family.  That doesn't mean I want that many children by any means!!  They are great Christian parents and the book is very encouraging... especially when our cable is about to be turned off on Jan. 21st.  It has actually made me excited about having it cut off instead of dreading it.  Will share more later!

Abby Ruth

For those of you who don't know (and if you don't, that means you didn't read the last blog! jk!) we have decided to name our daughter Abby Ruth.  Originally we were going to spell it "Abbey" but have decided to stick to the most common spelling of "Abby".  The reason behind this is that we have already had a few ppl spell it this way and don't want her to go through life having to correct ppl.  As a former school teacher, I know how many different spellings come through and have often had to correct names of my students.  Not that Abbey is totally strange in it's spelling, but I still don't want her name to be mispelled in her yearbooks, name tags, and so on.  So with all that being said it will be Abby, but we will be calling her Abby Ruth.

William starts painting the pink walls tonight... will keep you posted.  Will also try to post soon on our recent Christmas festivities!

21 1/2 Weeks Along

I've been meaning to get this post up for a week and just haven't gotten to it.  William and I are keeping pretty busy with work, Christmas, and purging our house so that this baby and all that comes with her will have a place to fit!  The "guest room" which is now the "baby's room" is coming along.  We sold my stationary bike last week and are currently trying to sell a chest of drawers right now!  (Let me know if you are interested!!)  We went and bought the paint this past weekend... pink paint!  Here I am eating my own words about never painting a room pink!  I have a few art projects to work on but can't get started b/c I need William to first prime a couple things.  It's getting there and it's becoming more and more real every day.

Below is my picture at 21wks and then again from 16 wks...

We are really looking forward to seeing our families over Christmas and glad that we get to see everybody this year!

Now that I think that all the family knows the name we have picked I will share with you... hope you read this far!  Her name is going to be Abbey Ruth.  We just like Abbey and Ruth was my grandmother's name.  We plan to call her both as of now and if it shortens down the road that's okay.

IT'S A GIRL!

William and I are super excited to be having a little girl coming our way this spring!  I was pretty convinced it was a boy and surprised to find out otherwise!  I didn't care either way but now that we know, I wouldn't want it anything else.  I know this is the baby the Lord picked out just for us and I can't wait to meet her!  The big question now is pink or yellow walls?!  I'm leaning towards pink which I said I'd never do (never say never, right?!).  Haha.

Attached is her picture... I love her little nose!  Not sure who she looks like quite yet.  Honestly, I hope she takes most everything after her daddy, but I would like her to have my curly hair!

Thanksgiving and more...

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday this past weekend and got to see both of our parents and some family.  We headed to Clinton Wed. and stayed at the Trammell house and ate some fantastic food.  My mother-in-law wouldn't let me bring anything (and I offered!) but it was so nice being able to just relax.  After subbing so much and babysitting everyday, I have been worn out!  Friday we left Clinton and headed to Fort Mill.  Sat. I went with my mom and sis to David's Bridal to get my bridesmaid's dress for Katie's wedding on May 28 - one month after my due date.  I got it a few sizes bigger than my normal size but I'm still worried I won't fit into it.  I will use this as extra motivation to loose the weight faster!

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures this past weekend, so I have none to post.  William and I did however buy our Christmas present to each other - a video camera.  We went to Best Buy on Sat. and they still had the same Black Friday price for the camera and I think we got a good deal on it.  I think it will be neat to have videos from before the baby comes so that one day they can watch it.  It would be neat to see our moms pregnant and the nursery's coming together before we were born.

Speaking of the nursery - I got the neatest prints from William's mom and I can't wait to use them.  They will go in either boy or girl's room and are from the 50/60's so it goes perfect with my vintage theme.  I also came up with some art projects for us (meaning Heather and I) to get started on!  When looking for a best friend I highly suggest finding an artistic one!!!  haha.  So i'm getting pretty excited about decorating!

I also started the registry at Buy Buy Baby today and will finish with William.  My friend Liza was nice enough to go with me and show me what all I needed... and I am SOO thankful she did!

We go Friday to find out what we are having, but please pray that everything is looking like it's suppose to.  All I really care about is having a healthy baby - of which I think is going to be a boy!
