18 Month Update and Fall Festival

It's really hard for me to believe our little girl is already a year and a half!  We went for her 18m check up last week and I apologize that I'm just now getting around to sharing it.  Looking at her stats on paper, you'd think we have a two year old!

 Her 18m stats:
-She weighed 28.4 lbs (92%) and she is 34.5 inches tall (101% yet again).  This is why her 18m Halloween costume didn't fit and we had to borrow a 24m one!! she is even wearing some 2T outfits already
-talking all the time!  I can't list all her words but some new ones include "nack" (snack), "wa-wa" (water/drink), trash, ashes (Ring Around the Rosie), knock knock, "shide" (outside), "nigh nigh" (night, night), "meme" (mimi), mix b/t "baba" and "papa" (papa), and I've gotten to her try Katie a time or two!
-she is needier of me than she used to be and I'm hoping this is just a phase
-she has pack'n'play time in the mornings that averages 25-30 minutes... hopefully we will move to roomtime soon
-she is down to one afternoon nap that never seems to be very consistent... anywhere from 1.5hrs - 3hrs

What life with an 18m looks like:

Playing with Daddy is so much fun!!

"What oreos?"
Pushing Froggie around on a hand truck
Not wanting to take a picture b/c that meant delaying outside time!
Thank you Papa for the work glasses!

Josh Turner music came on Daddy's phone and she automatically starts patting her hand to her leg... this girl loves some music!
"Girl, let me tell you..."
A view of pack'n'play time... here she's reading her Curious George book from Aunt Heather

We also got to go see the baby giraffe last week!  We didn't think he was going to come out while we were there but he did!  I did take a picture of AR in her stroller but it won't upload correctly.

This past weekend was the fall festival at our church.  Mimi and Papa were able to go with us and while it was raining and freezing, we managed to have some fun!
Our little ladybug waiting out the rain under the walkway.
Somebody has a new love for popcorn!

Bowling with daddy!

Picking out a duck to see what her prize is

A little cornhole

AR loved the bouncy house!!

Hope you all have a fun Halloween!

Lots of Pics!

Since it's been quite awhile since my last post, I will update with mostly pictures.  I hope you enjoy, that is, if I still have any readers!

The first weekend in October I did some farm cupcakes for a little boy's first birthday.  I'd done the farm animals before with Heather, but it'd been a couple years.  FYI, I'm trying to get my cake business going again so if you need a cake, cupcakes, or cookies please let me know!

Once again, no pants and dress shoes!  This time we have 2 bows though...

She has recently gained a fascination for the long mirror in our room.  She will say hey and bye to herself and laugh... and I can even get her to give herself a kiss.
The other day I turned around to find this:
She was literally trying to walk w/ her sippy cup between her legs.  Where in the world she came up w/ the idea to do this, I do not know!!

This past weekend my parents came up to stay the night with us and go to the Pumpkin Festival.  Heather and Benjamin even came up and went with us but unfortunately I didn't get any pics with them or my parents on my camera!  :(
We tried to get AR to pose with the pumpkins...
This is as good as it gets before the fussing started.
So we tried to take one with Aunt Katie which as you can see AR's very into... not.

She enjoyed sliding down this chair.

This would be sooo much cuter w/out the paci but desperate times call for desperate measures, right?!
Then the paparazzi (aka Heather) caught up with us...

Aunt Katie was nice enough to take AR to the dance stage, though all she wanted to do was go up and down the stairs.  Heather was nice enough to follow and take the pictures.

We left around 2:30pm and AR fell asleep on the way to the car and almost let me get through a whole diaper change asleep.  Then she woke up and didn't sleep again until I had to put her down at 6:30pm... which meant she woke up at 3:30am ready to go... yep, that happened.

We also have a new friend around here and his name is Barney ("Baa-ney"), yes, the big purple dinosaur.  AR never really cared for tv until she met Barney and I think it's due to the real life people and all the dancing and singing.  I can usually get her to watch an episode when I need to do something like cook.
Her favorite place to watch Barney with her froggie.

One of her favorite things to do is play in Daddy's truck (w/ adult supervision of course!)
