Arrival

So we arrived in DC at about 3pm and checked into the River Inn. I haven't gotten pics of some of the stuff that I'm mentioning, so I may come back and add them later. The hotel is very nice and it used to be apartments... they would have been small too!!

After unpacking, we headed out and I got my 1st experience on the metro! I won't lie, I was quite nervous about it. William did a great job figuring everthing out and getting us around. And most importantly, getting us back to our hotel! While we were out, we saw the Smithsonian Castle which contains a few artifacts. It seems to be mostly an "intro" to the rest of the museums. We then visited the Air and Space museum. They had some awesome old planes and artifacts.

We ended up coming back to the hotel for a bit and then went and ate at TGI Fridays. As if we'd never eaten there before... haha. We will try some new places out later, we have to learn our way around for now.
